I’m sitting in the kitchen waiting for my coffee to brew. I was searching Pinterest for some inspiration, and I came across this quote: “and she embraced the chaos as it painted her life with purpose” -JH Hard.
I have been struggling lately to find meaning in life. I’m “supposed” to be building a meaningful life for myself. I put “supposed” in quotes because I don’t necessarily have to build a meaningful life for myself… I could go on to the bitter end never having accomplished anything in life. But here’s the thing: a meaningful life doesn’t have to mean success in the way a lot of people think it does.
Today, I am “embracing the chaos”. What that means to me is acceptance. Accepting my situation exactly as it is and will be. There’s not as much chaos in my life as there used to be, that’s for sure. When there is chaos, I’m usually the one who creates it for myself (in my own head). I use poetry to process the emotions of that. Sometimes I share my poetry with my therapist and friends, but poetry is so subjective that they won’t get the full meaning unless I let them know what it means to me.
“Painting my life with purpose” means taking what is given to me in life with grace and then taking action. For me, most of the time, action produces purpose. There is meaning in being of service to others.
I don’t know if any of this makes sense to you (the reader). Free writing is empowering to me and helps me create a piece of my meaningful life. I thoroughly enjoy writing and sharing my experience, strength, and hope. Thank you for your continued support in reading my blog (even when it doesn’t make much sense).
Sending love and light, Kel.
