I’m not a particularly religious person. I am spiritual. I had received a small plaque with this psalm on it one year for my birthday. I thought it was beautiful!

I have to remember that my Higher Power is there with me, always! I’m protected by the Source; the Universal Energy. I know I’m never truly alone when I am feeling like giving up.

These past few days have been rough for me. I’ve sunken deeper into some kind of abyss of hopelessness. But, I know from experience that it will pass. And, when it does, I’ll be back and better than ever!

When we lose hope, that’s when we need faith the most. Faith in ourselves, faith in others, faith in anything out there that can help us. It doesn’t necessarily have to be God or a Higher Power, either, if that’s not something you hold in your beliefs. We all need to find strength within us, Higher Power or not.

For me, it’s important to know that I have something inside that holds me up, even when I feel like I’m drowning in feelings of worthlessness.
