Vulnerability

In the shallow you can see right through. The deeper the water gets, the less you can see, except for a glistening top.

That’s kind of my life story.

When I’m not being real with others, they can see right through me. They see every lie, every manipulation, and every fake smile.

The truth is, I hide the deepest parts of myself with a glistening outer shell. No one can see the real me that way. Why would I want them to? It’s vulnerable.

What I’m learning, though, is that vulnerability actually intensifies connection with others. It’s okay to be vulnerable and let the deepest parts of you show.

The water ripples on the surface. Each ripple causes a reaction with the next. I need to make sure I’m making good choices that align with my values so the ripple effect I’m creating is one of positivity.

Let your deepest self be seen. Get vulnerable. Allow yourself the grace and compassion you deserve to just be you.

Sending love and light, Kel.
