Sharing A Smile

There’s something special about sharing a smile with another person. It’s even more special when they smile back.

Tonight, as I was leaving work, I noticed one of my coworkers was sitting in the grass by the pond across from the parking lot. I sat in my car and put the car in drive. I slowed down by my coworker, rolled down the window, and I asked if he was okay. He nodded his head, gave a smile, and said, “Yes, thank you!” I nodded back, smiled, and drove away.

I’m glad I checked up on my coworker this evening. It made me feel good to reach out. You never know what someone might be going through. A simple act of concern & care for someone else can make a big impact on their life.

I believe there’s a ripple effect of every action made in the universe. Sending out acts of care for another holds huge power. There’s always room for any type of love to be sent out into the universe.

Sharing a smile with another person can mean the world to that person. The vibes of love are the strongest ones out there. Those vibes can turn around people’s whole lives! I’ve experienced this myself.

When I was about fourteen years old, I was sitting outside of the library on a bench while reading. A woman walking by stopped in front of me. She smiled and said, “I love your dress!” And she went on her way. That was almost twenty years ago, and I still remember how I felt at that moment. Her compliment to me made me happy. Her warm smile told me that someone saw me and cared enough to stop and say something. So, when I saw my coworker sitting alone by the pond, I had a strong feeling to stop and ask if he was alright.

You never know how one smile can impact a life. An act of kindness is never wasted.

Sending love and light, Kel.
